Hannes Winkler is an Austrian lawyer and musician. His musical journey began in childhood with piano lessons during primary school. He later joined the Vienna Boys’ Choir, where he was part of the Schubert Choir for five years. During his time at the Stiftsgymnasium Melk, he pursued the musical track, further nurturing his passion for music. At the age of 15, Winkler composed his first song for his mother’s milestone birthday, marking the start of his songwriting endeavors. In 1998, he had the honor of performing a self-composed piece before Pope John Paul II during a student congress at the Vatican. Balancing his legal career with his musical pursuits, Winkler operates under the moniker “Project HAWK.”

In June 2024, he released the song “Hero,” a rock anthem emphasizing the value of genuine friendships over superficial heroism. Following “Hero,” Winkler released “Tanzen ohne Gedanken” in early July 2024, featuring the Traismaurer Gospel Choir, and the release of “Believe” in August of the same year. In October 2024, he unveiled “The World Needs Love,” a rock song exploring themes of personal freedom.
